Carter Breitenfeldt is an intern through the Innovate for Maine program at the University of Maine. Carter is a Marketing Strategist and helping Lean East introduce our blog posts and improvement lessons to new audiences outside of the Lean East network in New England.
On top of working for Lean East, Carter started his own Grill Cleaning company last summer and is continuing to grow the company in his home state of Minnesota. Having an entrepreneurial mindset, Carter also started and operated a lawn mowing company in high school and led the business until college. When he is not working or training for hockey, Carter enjoys spending as much time outdoors as he can, whether that be golfing, being on the lakes in summer, or skiing in the winter.
Carter is a junior at Colby College, where is a part of the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey team. He is studying Psychology and Economics with a concentration in Financial Markets. Before coming to Colby, Carter took two gap years to play junior hockey for the Minnesota Magicians in the North American Hockey League. He graduated high school in 2017 from the Breck School in Golden Valley, MN.
