Lean Innovation Summary

Lean East Founder and President Steve Musica has a long history of supporting start-up businesses with Strategic Planning and Lean Innovation. Steve was the President and co-founder of several clean energy companies from 2010 to 2015 and has supported New England-based technology start-ups in the years since then.

Steve has served as a mentor and judge for the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs (MCE) Top Gun program, and recently mentored an aquaculture start-up that was beginning to sell its product. Steve has also been a trainer for the MCE Visionary Leadership program and has enjoyed leading a session on change for over 40 graduates of the program.

Steve has also advised and invested in several start-up businesses and is currently a member of the Maine Angels. He recently joined the investment advisory board of the Maine Angels Dirigo III fund, a sidecar fund that will invest $3-4 million into promising start-ups from 2025 to 2028, with many based in Maine.

Steve prefers to focus his Lean Innovation, engineering, operations, and quality system expertise on technology companies. He has extensive background and experience in the areas of Biotech, Clean Tech, and Healthcare/Medical Devices.
