Lean East believes completion of our six-day course will develop Green Belts who are not only capable to lead improvement projects but also capable to support advanced projects. Register now for an existing course or contact us for a course for your organization.
We cover core concepts from the American Society of Quality Book of Knowledge (ASQ-BOK). An important differentiation in our offering is our focus on team Leadership and Facilitation.
We believe that our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt students will have the greatest success in their endeavors when they have skills in working with the people and teams involved in their processes and value streams. No other course puts equal emphasis on leadership skills as much as ours. Our experienced instructors know how important this is.
The course introduces Lean Six Sigma principles, problem-solving methods, and tools and methods for removing waste from processes and reducing process variation. Topics include PDCA, DMAIC, A3 thinking, process metrics, voice of the customer, and mistake-proofing. It also includes change management, analysis of variation, basic statistics to understand and reduce variation, and leadership and facilitation topics.
Class participants will also learn Lean tools of value stream process mapping, waste identification, root cause analysis, and 5S. Each topic will be introduced with fun exercises so students have an opportunity to immediately apply what they have learned under the guidance of the instructors.
There are no prerequisites for taking this course. However, a college degree and a minimum of two years of work experience are highly recommended in order to benefit from the course. Focused classroom participation and passing a short exam on the final day of the course are required to receive a certificate as a Lean East Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Course Exam and Certification:
Students will take an exam at the end of the 6th day. Upon successful completion of the course and a passing grade, students will then be awarded a Lean Six Sigma Course Completion Certificate.
