Step forward today with skills that enable you to immediately make a positive difference in your organization
This six-day course provides the knowledge for an attendee to support and facilitate process improvement projects for their organization.
Participants will learn the principles and core tools of Lean Six Sigma and practice utilizing the tools and principles in team-based exercises.
Lean East believes completion of our six-day course will develop Green Belts who are capable to lead improvement projects and support advanced projects.
We cover core concepts from the American Society of Quality Book of Knowledge (ASQ-BOK). An important differentiation in our offering is our focus on team Leadership and Facilitation.
We believe that our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt students will have the greatest success in their endeavors when they have skills in working with the people and teams involved in their processes and value streams. No other course puts equal emphasis on leadership skills as much as ours. Our experienced instructors know how important this is.
The course introduces Lean Six Sigma principles, problem-solving methods, and tools and methods for removing waste from processes and reducing process variation. Topics include PDCA, DMAIC, A3 thinking, process metrics, voice of the customer, mistake-proofing, change management, analysis of variation, and basic statistics to understand and reduce variation, and leadership and facilitation topics.
Class participants will also learn Lean tools of value stream process mapping, waste identification, root cause analysis, and 5S. Each topic will be introduced with fun exercises so students have an opportunity to immediately apply what they have learned under the guidance of the instructors.
There are no prerequisites for taking this course, but a college degree and a minimum of two years of work experience is highly recommended in order to benefit from the course. Focused classroom participation and passing a short exam on the final day of the course is required to receive a certificate as a Lean East Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Course Exam and Certification:
Students will take an exam at the end of the 6th day. Upon successful completion of the course and a passing grade, students will be awarded a Lean Six Sigma Course Completion Certificate.
